January 2018 - New Year, Fresh Start

2018 has begun and as ever goals and resolutions are made. the next step is to keep to them! Many people prescribe better diet and more exercise as part of their New Year Resolution and this newsletter aims to help you keep those goals.

Greater Fitness for Better Health:

Getting in shape and improving one's Health takes time. So, once you have the big goal in mind, break it down into at least 5 smaller goals. This will give you a step-by-step plan and you can reward yourself when you achieve each step.

Simple steps are best. Ensure your goals are easy to manage and fit into your lifestyle. For instance, going to the gym 5 days per week might be great for the first month but impossible to juggle your schedule around long-term. so aim for a realistic twice per week.

Encourage family and friends to support you. Get colleagues, friends and family on board with your goals. They can provide support and encouragement and may even want to join in! When times get hard, they can help keep you going. There are many apps where you can share your progress with selected friends.

Make it Fun! There is no point choosing a goal and then hating every step of the way. Plan your goals and choose methods of achieving it that you enjoy. For example, if you love tennis then plan getting fit with tennis lessons.

Reward Yourself. Now your goals and mini-goals are set, plan the reward you will give yourself for each achievement. Make sure it is something that you will enjoy and look forward to.
